Mimi's Oatmeal Cookies

My Great Grandma Mimi handed this delightful cookie recipe down to my Grandma, who handed it down to my Mom, who then handed it down to me. From the time I was young, I enjoyed these moist, cakey morsels. What a joy it was to receive boxes of Mimi's oatmeal cookies in college from my loving Grandma who sent them as care packages. To me, they're the flavor of unconditional love ...

Ingredients
1 Cup seedless raisins
1/2 Cup (1 cube) butter [set out to room temp]
1 Cup Sugar
2 Eggs
1/4 Cup milk
1 2/3 Cups oats
1 1/2 Cups flour
1 Tsp. baking soda
1/2 Tsp. salt
1 Tsp. cinnamon

Directions
Pre-heat oven to 375

Cream butter and sugar. Beat eggs. Add eggs and milk. Add flour (sifted), baking soda, salt, cinnamon. Add oats and raisins. Chopped walnuts optional. Once evenly blended, scoop onto greased or Silpatted baking sheet.
